Joliet, IL (SportsNetwork.com) - Richard Petty Motorsports revealed on Saturday that Marcos Ambrose will not return as driver of the No. 9 Ford for the team in the Sprint Cup Series in 2015. According to a news release from RPM, Ambrose has informed the organization that he will return to his native home of Australia next year. RPM also noted that it is currently evaluating several driver opportunities for the No. 9, and the team will make a future announcement. Marcos will always be a part of our extended racing family, team co-owner Richard Petty said in a statement. He came over to the United States with his family and dedicated his time here to giving it the best he had each week. I couldnt ask anything more from Marcos and his commitment on and off of the track to our race team and our partners. Away from the track, hes a family person first. Thats something I respect and well miss Marcos, (wife) Sonja and their children (Tabitha and Adelaide). Ambrose has driven for RPM in Sprint Cup since the start of 2011 season. He has two career victories in NASCARs top series, with both of them occurring at Watkins Glen, a road course in Upstate New York. Ambrose finished second to A.J. Allmendinger in last months Sprint Cup race at Watkins Glen. First of all, I need to thank everybody at Richard Petty Motorsports. It has been a great four years together, Ambrose said following Saturday mornings Sprint Cup practice session at Chicagoland Speedway. It has been incredible to drive for The King (Richard Petty) and (team sponsors) Stanley, DeWalt and Ford Racing and everybody. The time is just right for me to stop. I feel like the timing is right for myself and my family to return to Australia, and that is what we are going to do. There has been wide speculation for the past several months that Ambrose will return to his home country to compete in the Australian V8 Supercar Series, driving an entry for NASCAR and IndyCar Series team owner Roger Penske. Ambrose is a two-time champion of the V8 Supercar Series, a racing circuit that competes on road courses. He won his titles consecutively from 2003-04, scoring 27 race victories. Today is not the day to talk about anything about my racing future, Ambrose said. I feel like personally this is the right choice for myself and my family to call it a day here in the U.S. and move on to our next chapter. Sprint Cup is at Chicagoland this weekend for the first round in the 10-race Chase for the Sprint Cup championship. Ambrose did not qualify for the Chase, but his teammate, Aric Almirola, made the 16-driver field with a victory in the rain-shortened July race at Daytona International Speedway. Ambrose is currently 23rd in the point standings. Cheap Air Jordan 3 Uk . Louis, MO (SportsNetwork. Cheap Air Jordan 3 Free Shipping .
